hey would continue to ram.

The believers were like angry bulls, relentlessly crashing into the iron bar grille.
The tremendous reactionary force shook their bodies and nearly made them faint.
But the iron bar grille made banging noises as the thick iron bars gradually deformed.

This was an incredibly crazy sight.
The individual strength of a single believers might be insignificant, but as more and more believers surged like a raging tide, their momentum became fierce and unstoppable.

“Clang!” “Clang!” “Clang!”

Under the deafening roars, it felt as if a ferocious beast was pounding on the iron bar grille.

Such madness even left Wu Hui, who was far away in the Kingdom of Light, feeling shocked.
Believers with fanatical beliefs were truly terrifying beings.
With the lead of zealous devotees, they were valiant and fearless, as if they could tear apart anything that dared to obstruct them.

In just a matter of seconds, the iron bar grille was knocked out of its groove, tilting backward to reveal an opening.

“We did it!”

“Kill! Kill! Kill!”

Amidst the exhilarating cheers, the bloodthirsty believers, with red eyes, poured furiously through the gap, charging towards the castle gate.

Although the castle gate was made of sturdy wooden structure, even the iron bar grille couldn’t stop the frenzy-driven believers.
How long could a mere wooden gate hold them back?

However, before the believers could reach the castle gate, a heavy creaking sound was heard, and astonishingly, the gate was opened from the inside.

What greeted the eyes of the believers was the Temple Knight Landon.
His linen clothing was soaked in blood, making it hard to distinguish if it was his own or the enemy’s.
Two corpses lay at his feet.

It turned out that after Landon lowered the drawbridge, upon hearing the believers banging on the iron bar grille, he abandoned his original plan to attack the winch room and headed straight for the gate.
Along the way, he had killed three people and coincidentally joined forces with the army of believers.

“It’s Lord Landon, Lord Landon.”

The multitude of believers erupted into a tsunami-like cheer.
With the castle gate breached, Gruberg was within easy reach.

Landon tugged at the corner of his mouth but didn’t smile.

He understood that this was only the beginning, far from the time to celebrate.

From Landon’s initial outburst to the breach of the castle gate, the entire process, when spoken of, seemed lengthy.
However, in reality, it was only a matter of a few minutes.

Gruberg’s defenses were lax.
Apart from a few soldiers on duty, most of them were sleeping in the barracks or drinking and reveling in small groups.

As for some of the higher-ranking officers in the camp, they were mostly Baron Gandial’s confidants, who had likely gathered on the top floor of the watchtower, preparing to indulge in night-long festivities with the “bride.”

Under these circumstances, Gruberg was suddenly attacked, and it would be strange if they could respond in time.

As the castle gate was breached, Gruberg erupted into chaos.

Countless soldiers woke up from their beds, hastily donning their leather armor and grabbing weapons.
The soldiers who were on duty or drinking were also terrified, rushing toward the castle gate in a panic, attempting to halt the relentless advance of the army of believers.

It was a scene of utter disorder.

But Landon knew well that this chaos was only temporary.
Once they regained their composure or the commanders in the castle reassumed their positions, not only would the advantage brought by the surprise attack disappear, but they might even be counterattacked.

Moreover, the Holy Maiden was still inside.

They had to seize the opportunity and transform the momentary advantage into a complete victory.

A fanatical gleam flickered in Landon’s eyes as he quickly bound his longsword to his hand with a strip of cloth.
He turned around and charged back into the castle, shouting, “Follow me and kill!”

“Kill! Kill! Kill!”

The thunderous roar echoed like a tsunami through the gate as the believers, with unwavering morale, surged behind him into the castle.
Their eyes were bloodshot, and they appeared possessed.

Baptized in blood, these believers who were once ordinary people or common soldiers had completely transformed into frenzied warriors.
Their mad onslaught was so terrifying that it sent shivers down one’s spine.

The soldiers inside the castle were caught off guard, with some of them having just gotten out of bed, not even having time to put on their armor or grab their weapons.
Seeing the believers’ ferocious momentum, the little courage they had vanished instantly.

Even the battle-hardened elite soldiers, equipped and experienced, felt a bit apprehensive at the sight of this overwhelming force.

In just one charge, the castle soldiers blocking the entrance were forcefully pushed aside by the frenzied army of believers, creating a breach.

Moreover, this breach was widening rapidly in an unstoppable trend.
