Chapter 341: The letter to Su Xin’er

Xi Que loved to hear this.
Her eyes brightened immediately but when she thought of how Zhao San and the others had failed to follow her master’s orders, she was depressed again.
Sighing, she said: “Yes, who would want such a vulgar woman? That country girl is so cruel and vicious, it’s a pity that the master now—”

Zhao Ru Jun sneered, raising her eyebrow: “You don’t need to talk about things like revenge! Is there no such thing as ‘borrowing a knife to kill’ in this world? The two letters in your hands will deal with Lian Fang Zhou.
That bitch has many weapons up her sleeve, so you must find the right person to ensure those letters are sent out without fail, understand?”

Xi Que was dumbfounded: “These two letters?”

The young lady of the Zhao family was one who liked to control everything and arrange things by herself.
The thing she hated the most was having to explain herself to others.
Having already hit her limit with Xi Que, she waved her hand impatiently: “You know what you need to do! What else do you need to ask?”

Xi Que didn’t dare to ask any more questions and hurriedly agreed, turning around to leave.

In Dafang village, Lian Fang Zhou did not know the little actions of Zhao Ru Jun.
All the cotton fields had been topped and were just waiting for another round of weeding and watering before they could sit and wait for the harvest.

Additionally, the hundreds of grafted fruit trees on Xiaohuaguo mountain were now filled with fruit, especially the persimmon trees, which had been planted in early winter.

She did not plan on selling the fruit this year.
Planting cotton was hard work, and it was better to leave the fruit for the workers.

On the fifteenth day of the current month, Su Xin’er accompanied her mother to the temple to light incense when a strange woman appeared in a veiled hat.
Avoiding the crowds, the woman delivered a letter.

Su Xin’er didn’t want to accept it but when the woman who brought the letter lowered her voice and said that the letter was related to her cousin in the Cui family, she took it immediately without hesitation.

After returning home, she quickly said goodbye to her mother and ran to her room, Su Xin’er couldn’t wait to open it!

She opened it up and scanned the contents.
The more she read, the more ugly her expression became until she slapped the table angrily.
Her pretty face was more terrifying than it had ever been and her eyes stared coldly into the distance, silent.

Her maids, Ju Xiang and Ju Li, looked at each other in shock and felt an unexplainable chill in their hearts.

The two spoke to each other with their eyes for a few minutes before Ju Xiang was defeated.
Biting the bullet, she smiled and asked: “Miss, are you tired from going out today? Do you want to—”

“Leave!”

“Miss?”

“I said leave!” Su Xin’er turned her head and glared at Ju Xiang.

Ju Xiang had no choice but to bow her knees respectfully and retired with a soft ‘yes’.

Su Xin’er had only asked Ju Xiang to leave.
Without hearing her name, Ju Li didn’t dare to move.
She forced herself to smile and say: “Miss, this, what’s wrong?”

She didn’t want to ask and Su Xin’er felt wronged when she heard it.
Pursing her lips, she collapsed onto the table and started sobbing into her arms.

Although her cries were very low, anyone could hear the genuine sadness in them!

“Miss! What’s wrong!” Taken aback, Ju Li hurriedly stepped forward and gently patter her back, begging her: “Miss, please stop crying! Please don’t cry! Miss! Miss are you not comfortable? Do you want this slave to report to the Madam or the Young Madam—”

“Don’t go!!” Su Xin’er raised her head, tears on her face: “Don’t tell my mother or sister-in-law!”

“Yes, yes, this maid won’t tell anyone! Miss, don’t cry, okay? This maid will pour tea for you!” Ju Li quickly poured her a cup of warm tea and handed it to Su Xin’er.
She stared at her eagerly, not daring to continue speaking.

Su Xin’er did not pick up her tea.
Taking out an embroidered handkerchief, she wiped her tears and blew her nose.
In a soft voice, she asked: “A’Li, you said that cousin doesn’t like me… is it because he likes someone else?”

“Huh?” Startled, Ju Li stared at her.
She suddenly understood that Su Xin’er’s tears were somehow related to Young Master Cui.

But why was the young lady thinking about this? Could it be that letter—

She hurriedly laughed: “I don’t think so! I have never heard Young Master Cui say that he has someone he likes? How could he like others when our young lady is so great…”

Su Xin’er snorted softly.
Though she did not get angry, her face was still pale: “You two are treating me like I’m stupid! Don’t coax me like this when you don’t even believe it yourself!”

“Miss…” Ju Li murmured, not knowing how to persuade her.

Su Xin’er’s eyes were cold and furious.
Gritting her teeth, she said: “It doesn’t matter because I like him! I love him so much! Ever since I can remember, my dream has been to marry him as his wife one day! He, his wife can only be me! Only me! If anyone dares to have ideas about him, I won’t let them go, I will never let them go!”

Her tone suddenly softened as she looked at Ju Li: “Cousin will understand how good I am one day, right? One day, he will like me back, right?”

Ju Li opened her mouth and reluctantly nodded: “Yes, Miss.
You are so good, Young Master Cui will definitely like you someday…”

Immediately, Su Xin’er’s eyes brightened, and her spirits lifted.
Bitterly, she said: “So if someone dares to make a move on my cousin, dares to try and snatch my cousin from me, I can’t spare her, right? Don’t you agree!”

Ju Li was shocked.
Her eyes widened and she said in surprise: “Miss, what are you saying? Who, is there someone, someone—”

Her young lady snorted: “I’m going out to the countryside for a few days and you will come with me! You are not allowed to say a word of what I just said right now, do you understand?”

Ju Xiang had a calm temperament and knew how to perform her duties with good care.
Madam Su had deliberately selected her to serve next to her daughter so that she could persuade her from the side when Su Xin’er started to have wayward thoughts.
Ju Li, however, was the maid personally chosen by Su Xin’er, so of course she had to listen to her!

At this moment, though Ju Li was flustered and confused, she knew that she could not refuse.
Unable to persuade her, Ju Li reluctantly nodded and agreed.

Soon, Su Xin’er took Ju Xiang, Ju Li, and two older servants to the country manor of the Su family.

When she arrived, she ordered Ju Xiang to manage everything inside the manor and immediately instructed the carriage driver to head for Yuhe county.

Not long after she arrived, Zhao Ru Jun received word.
Sneering, the young lady of the Zhao family told Xi Que to send someone to watch her movements.

Su Xin’er was not blindly reckless and the time on the road was enough for her to calm down.
However, with her temperament, this calmness was limited, especially for matters regarding Cui Shao Xi.

Su Xin’er checked into the most upscale inn in Yuhe county and quickly ordered her two servants to go to Dafang village and inquire about Lian Fang Zhou and Cui Shao Xi.
