”ROARRR!!! ” A ear-rending roar sounded out from behind Yohr, which was terrifying enough to momentarily paralyze his body even if he sensed the humongous five-meter ethereal beast pouncing upon him from behind.

It had a huge tigress-like body with a white mane and shimmering light blue stripes covering her body with small bright red gems embedded along her spine. Her eyes were blood red, and an intense aura of bloodthirst was emanating from her that could make one ’s soul cower in fear.

Who could it be other than Valentina, who sensed that something was wrong the moment Damien began to feel that Yohr was an enemy. Since she and Damien ’s souls were connected, she could feel the tension, anxiety, and fear Damien felt for reasons she had no idea, especially since Damien was not near her.

So all she could do was seek him out by herself and was surprised to come upon a secret icy cave and slipped inside easily with her unique powers. And as she got closer, she only felt that Damien ’s emotions were going through tumultuous changes, which only worried her even more since she had never felt these kinds of emotional changes from him, and it only smelled like he was in grave danger for her.

And the moment she finally stepped into this big icy chamber, she was shocked to see a giant snake-like ethereal beast with several heads attacking Damien with the intent to seriously hurt him.

Her blood boiled in rage, but she didn ’t immediately act but instead decided to use her presence to take this monster by surprise at the most opportune time. She knew acting on her impulsive emotions might result in distracting Damien and also putting herself in danger since she could sense that this large monster didn ’t look like an ordinary ethereal beast and could even talk.

But most of all, she could sense that this ethereal beast was very powerful despite looking bloodied and injured. Her instincts were already warning her to not fight against it, which meant that she was no match for it.

However, she could see that Damien ’s aura and strength had increased to higher levels beyond her expectation which excited her and made her feel relieved, thinking there was indeed a chance for Damien to defeat this monster as long as he could hold up for a while.

But seeing her lover ’s face turning pale as blood continued to leak from his lips, she could see that the power he was harnessing was costing a huge price to his body. This was something she had already known before whenever he used to battle others, and his aura suddenly increased. But this time, the extra power he had gained was coming at a higher price.
